COMPREHENSIVE COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT

An on-site Communication Assessment of your facilities' Communication Policy and Procedures, evaluation of on-site auxiliary aids, and staffs ability to effectively communicate with them as mandated by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other federal laws. You will be provided with a list of recommendations and a follow-up with leadership will be scheduled to ensure that all requirements have been met. 

CUSTOM LEADERSHIP TRAINING

This option includes the COMPREHENSIVE COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT and a sector focused ADA compliance training for management. Leadership can take part in an onsite or virtual workshop to gain a deep understanding of ADA compliance, solutions that cover legal mandates, responsibilities to effectively communicate, policy reviews, and professional development. Training can be customized to meet customer's needs.

ONLINE TRAINING

A convenient and flexible training option to accommodate larger facilities so that all staff can take the required ADA compliance workshop. Upon completion, participants will receive an official certification that verifies their training participation attendance.

SEMINARS

Detra Stewart is available to conduct ADA compliance seminars or speak at conferences. She addresses topics affecting people with hearing loss during critical situations like emergency management events, accommodations in schools and universities, prisons, courts, police departments, social services, and medical facilities. Speaking engagements also allow a more detailed exploration of Detra’s experience in crisis situations such as devastating natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina, and global catastrophes like the war in the Ukraine.

A workshop to help business professionals understand the accommodations that are required for a client or patient who is deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing. Detra also offers expert witness testimony as it pertains to the law, services, and cultural understanding of deaf and hard of hearing people.
